Howard Seibel, founder and Managing Director of Wharton Strategic Services, is a classically trained direct marketer who straddles the online and offline worlds. He has a 20 year record of success in direct marketing strategy and tactics, sales force support, branding and consulting.
Prior to establishing Wharton Strategic Services in 1998, Howard was Marketing Director at Wit Capital, the world’s first online investment bank. There, he marketed brokerage services, IPOs and venture capital offerings to individual investors as well as directed lead generation and sales support activities for the firm’s investment bankers and venture capitalists.
As Managing Director of Marketing for National Discount Brokers, he built, launched and ran the industry’s first major Internet stock trading service aimed at individuals. In three years, he grew the company into the nation’s sixth-largest online broker, with an industry-low cost-per-new-customer.
Howard spent seven years with American Express in a variety of marketing, product management and new product development roles in its consumer card and prepaid products groups. He began his career with Northern Telecom as a marketing associate and Diamond Shamrock as a technical sales representative.
